He is passionate about transforming markets with technology and innovation and believes firmly in the power of relationship building and team collaboration as the keys to success. Sam Smith brings a unique, ground-up understanding of the Receivables Management Industry to his role as Head of Product at DataSIVS. Though he began his professional career as an archaeologist, he has dedicated the past six years to resolving post-sale concerns for dozens of creditors and debt buyers.
During his tenure as VP of Client Services and then VP of Product at EverChain, Smith navigated over 250,000 post-sale requests across various account and asset types. This experience provided him with a deep and practical knowledge of the post-sale and post-placement challenges that plague the industry. In co-founding DataSIVS, he has channeled this wealth of expertise into tackling the root cause of these issues: incomplete, messy, and non-standardized data.
As Head of Product, Sam is now leading the development of DataSIVS to be the most in-depth and versatile validation tool for the critical data and media used by every participant in the Receivables Management Industry.

As a co-founder and Head of Technology, Cliff Erson brings a unique blend of large-scale systems engineering expertise and an unyielding commitment to security to DataSIVS. His background, including previously holding a Top Secret clearance, has instilled a rigorous approach to data protection and compliance that is now a core pillar of the company's foundation.
Erson's professional journey is defined by a deep expertise in building and securing complex, mission-critical systems. At Riot Games, he served as an engineer embedded with Tencent, focusing on ensuring "League of Legends" in China not only met technical and security requirements but also adhered to stringent CCP (Chinese Communist Party) laws and audit requirements. Prior to that, his work at the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services involved creating HIPAA-compliant systems with a primary focus of safeguarding sensitive patient data. This experience, along with leading a year-long project to implement a corporate-wide intrusion detection and firewall mesh at The Walt Disney Company, highlights his long-standing focus on cybersecurity and risk mitigation.
This extensive experience in building robust, automated, and secure infrastructure is now applied directly to DataSIVS, ensuring that every financial transaction and all customer data are protected with the same level of care and vigilance as the most sensitive information.
